  • Therapy involves personalized sessions that consist of ​goal-setting and strategies for growth. It's ​a collaborative process in which your therapist ​guides you toward achieving your ​aspirations and overcoming challenges.

  • Sessions typically last 50-60 minutes. This is dependent upon what your insurance company deems as medically necessary for your treatment. Lake Norman Therapy Lounge will ensure your ​session structure allows for ample time for discussion, goal-setting, and ​personalized support. We strive for a focused and impactful therapy ​experience every session.

  • There is no set time frame for how long you’ll be in therapy. Therapy is a deeply personal experience, and it’s hard to put a timeline on something like that. Your therapist will work with you to create a treatment plan that includes goals and strategies for reaching those goals. Periodically, your therapist will reevaluate your treatment plan and your progress, so that we can make sure you are moving towards achieving your goals.

  • Yes! We offer virtual therapy via a secure telehealth platform for those that are more comfortable receiving therapy from the comfort of their own home. However, if you are interested in receiving EMDR or ART, you will need to come to the office to receive those services in person.

    *You must be in the state of North Carolina when you receive virtual services.

  • It’s ok! While it may seem overwhelming to start something new, the reality is that a lot of the apprehension is just built-up anticipation of the “unknown.” Our style here at Lake Norman Therapy Lounge is professional, yet down to earth. No stuffy attitudes here. Just empathetic, warm, and encouraging support.

  • Frequency depends on your needs. Weekly ​sessions are most common. However, some people may choose to attend therapy twice per week, when there’s a need for more intensive support. We can ​adjust based on your specific situation. Whatever the frequency, consistency ​enhances the therapeutic experience, ensuring ​sustained growth and progress towards your goals.

  • Lake Norman Therapy Lounge is in network with Aetna, BCBS, Cigna, United Healthcare, Oxford, and Oscar. Plans and coverage vary, so it’s recommended that you contact your insurance company to verify your coverage.

  • Self Pay Rates are as follows:

    Initial Assessments- $175

    Individual Sessions- $150

    If you are using your health insurance, your out-of-pocket costs may vary. It is your responsibility to be aware of what your particular plan covers, your deductible, and your out-of-pocket costs associated with such.

    If I am out of network with your insurance, I can provide you with a superbill so that you can request reimbursement from your insurance company. Reimbursement rates will vary.
